photo General Joan

Joan Lenahan, Owner & Business Manager

Joan, a successful multi business owner, has had a love for competitive cheer since childhood. After a rewarding decade of competing with her school teams including Father Judge and Temple University, coaching became a regular part of her life. Coaching of her national champion elementary school teams in Philadelphia led to her recruitment into the world of all star cheer as a choreographer, competition judge and open team competitor.

Joan is married with two children, both of which are extremely active in sports. Connor (14) is a seasoned wrestler, having wrestled for many club teams and looking forward to wreslting to Council Rock South High School this year. Emma (11) fell under the spell of competitive cheer just minutes after meeting Coach Kelly and loves competing with Airborne Elite All Stars! Season 5 finds Emma on two teams, J1 and J2, and she is in heaven.

Completely amazed at the talent and dedication of Coach Kelly, Joan decided it was time to embark on a new business venture that would bring her love for the sport full circle.

photo Coach Kelly

Kelly Foy, Owner & Program Director

Kelly is home when she’s in the gym, she has been coaching recreational and USAG competitive gymnastics for over 25 years as well as 7 years coaching All Star Cheerleading. Her coaching career started in CT and has brought her to many gyms throughout the east coast with some of the most memorable years spent in GA. The move to Atlanta coincided with the 1996 Olympics and lead to some amazing years with The Gymnastics Academy Of Atlanta.  Kelly is recognized as an expert in her field and has been an enthusiastic presenter over the years for USAG regional and national conferences.

Kelly’s full time coaching career ended in October 2004 with the birth of her first child, Lindsay, who is a competitive cheerleader. She continued to coach part time when her son, Logan was born in 2006. Logan enjoys “flipping” but truly loves playing travel soccer for CRUSA.

Once Kelly and Joan put their heads together there was no question that it was the right partnership and the right time to embark on this epic journey. Now Kelly is back home, in the gym and couldn’t be happier!

photo Coach Rosie

Rosie Strouse, Tumbling & Stunting Instructor, All Star Coach

Rosie has been involved in the sport of cheerleading for 18 years! From popwarner cheer, to all-star and high school cheer, all the way to collegiate cheerleading where she was recruited by the University of Maryland to compete on a nationally-ranked team. Rosie is a four time All-American and in 2013 she became a NCA national champion as her team captured the title in the All-Girl D1 Division.

Her excellence in the sport naturally led her to coaching skill levels from youth to collegiate and in 2013 she was awarded National Cheerleading Association’s "Rookie Instructor of the Year."

As an award winning NCA coach, with an amazing personality and contagious energy, Rosie was clearly a perfect fit for the ATC family. Rosie recently graduated Temple University and received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy.  We couldn't be more proud of our own Dr. Rosie!

Maria is a recent graduate of Morehead State University with a bachelor’s degree in University Studies with a focus on sports management. During her time at MSU, she cheered at a collegiate level all 4 years, with the all-girl squad. In 2014, 2015, and 2016 she won UCA nationals in All- Girl division 1. Also in her cheerleading career, she was honored to be on the USA national team competing with the all-girl squad in 2014 and 2015 winning two gold medals.

In 2017 and 2018, she was the assistant coach for the all-girl and coed squads at MSU. She has been involved in the sport of cheerleading since the age of five years old, allowing her to watch the sport grow into what it is today & build the skill set that she now has: level 5 tumbling and level 6 stunting! During High School she did all-stars and cheered for New Jersey Spirit Explosion, FAB 5.  She was formerly a UCA cheerleading instructor for 3 years, working with high school and collegiate level athletes during this time.

Maria proved to be the missing link at Airborne. NCA and UCA trained under one roof & working together - it doesn't get much better than that!

We are thrilled to welcome Coach Ryan into the Airborne Family.

photo Coach Karen

Karen Slezak, All Star Coach

Karen's love of competitive cheer began 26 years ago when she started cheering, and once cheer is in your blood it never goes away! Karen rejoined the world of competitive cheer a few years ago because her nieces caught the cheer bug, just as she had.  Her love of cheer and her passion for working with kids made coaching a natural and obvious choice. Karen made the switch to All Star this season after coaching highly successful performance recreation teams; her teams have won National Champion titles, as well as being crowned champs at US Finals in Virginia Beach.

After college, Karen began working in the Mental Heath field with children and adolescents, with a primary focus of behavior modification.  Throughout her career, she has worked in psychiatric hospitals, locked residential treatment facilities, and in outpatient settings.

Karen lives in Worcester, PA with her husband and two young sons: Daniel who is 4, and Jackson who was born in October of 2017. Daniel loves cheering on all the athletes at the competitions, and gets very excited to see his big cousin “Jen Jen” compete!

Tina started cheering at the age of seven, and she had such passion for the sport that she transitioned naturally to coaching when she was in high school. Tina is proud to join the Airborne coaching staff after spending the last seven years coaching for PFCA as a competitive rec coach where she led her teams to several national titles. Her favorite part of cheerleading is working with athletes to grow not only their skills, but to foster a hard working team mentality and a true love for the sport.

Tina is committed to working with kids even when she is not in the cheer gym. She is currently a fifth grade teacher in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District, where she was awarded "Teacher of the Year," and has been teaching for 21 years.

When she is not in the cheer gym or the classroom, Tina loves to spend time with her husband, two daughters who cheer at Airborne, and two Cocker Spaniels.

photo Coach Stephanie

Stephanie Oiler, Tumbling & Stunting Instructor, All Star Coach

Stephanie came to our attention after observing her coaching skills for a local rec cheer team for the past two years. Her interaction with the athletes was refreshing and exciting to see in a younger coach.

It was no surprise to find out that Stephanie was a certified elementary special education teacher.  Her cheer experience coupled with her education and training in her specialized field are the ingredients to an amazing coach!

When the time came to look for a coach that specialized in younger athletes, we didn't need to look very far as Stephanie was an obvious asset who needed to be added to the impressive line-up of coaches in the ATC family.

photo Coach Serina

Serina Trozzi, Tumbling Coach & All Star Cheer Coach

Coach Serina was a secondary base her entire cheer life, and then became a flyer for her last two years of high school cheer. She started out at the Warminster Pioneers cheering on the 55lbs football team and cheered there until she aged out. After Pop-Warner, she went straight into high school cheerleading for all four years of high school. Three of the four years, her team went to nationals and her senior year won suburbans for the first time in school history!

Serina is currently attending Gwynedd Mercy University majoring in Nursing with plans of graduating in 2022 to become a NICU nurse. Coaching is a way that she feels she can focus on school but also continue to be involved in the sport she loves.
